A silent auction will be held Friday from 1pm - 6pm and Saturday from 9:30 am to 3pm. The winners of the auction will be known at the end of the auction and items may be picked up from 4pm - 5:30 pm Saturday.
A silent auction consists of items that are contributed from area businesses, the community, speakers at the conference, master gardeners and conference participants. The conference participants will be able to write down a bid with their name on an item/items many times during the length of the auction. The last bid when the auction closes is the winner of that auction item. Items that are typically contributed are: gardening items, potted plants, hanging baskets, gift baskets, wine, holiday items, food items, gift certificates, electronic equipment, artwork, and books.
The proceeds from our Silent Auction event will help keep our Tennessee Master Gardener program available to persons who share a passion for gardening, helping our communities, region, and state through gardening education and volunteer programs and projects.
